Today was so much fun. We have learned so much in two weeks. I hope that you had fun as we learned about “properties” and “classification.” I cannot think of a better way to learn about these things than classifying and eating jelly beans! You all did a super job! I will be working on adding a slide show to our website soon. Now I want to ask you the same question that I did today. How do your senses help you classify objects in science? What do you think?
In some ways it seemed like such a long week, but in others it seemed to fly by. I am so proud of how much we have already accomplished. By Friday we were all tired and ready for the weekend rest. It takes a while to get used to not sleeping in again. Cami posted a comment about how she thought our week went. What do you think? What was your favorite part? What could we do different? Well guys, can you believe summer is already over and we have made it through our first day of school? I think we had a great first day and accomplished a lot! We created our Class Constitution today, and I have to say that I could not be more proud of how it turned out! This is our Class Constitution as established and voted on today.

Not bad, I must say! We are off to a great start! Boys and girls, if we use this contract to guide our learning experience this year, I can only imagine how much we can learn!
Wow, open house came and went so quickly, and it is already time to get the new school year underway! I enjoyed meeting all of the parents that came in, but more than anything, I enjoyed those excited (and maybe a bit nervous) faces of my sweet new class! I know that we are going to have a great year! So my new fourth graders….how does it feel to be in fourth grade so far?
I am working on creating podcasts for our website! I think that this will be a fun way to share all of the new and wonderful things we will learn this year! Let’s see if the link below works….
